Samsung says that the Exynos 9611 vs Snapdragon improves the image quality, low-light performance, and speed of its chips by combining it with the eight-core A76-based architecture with dedicated graphics to “fuel superior user experience in a range of mobile products.
” Furthermore, Exynos 9611 vs Snapdragon has a GPU that can power three independently connected 4K displays. In terms of processing power, the Exynos 9611 boasts a “powerful and scalable” platform that’s better at handling multiple 4K displays.
The Exynos 9611 is manufactured on Samsung’s 10nm process. It has a maximum clock speed of 2.3GHz, higher than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855’s 1.7GHz. It has a ‘liquid vapor-chipset’ cooling solution to avoid overheating and a stacked 12-nanometer ‘LPP’ process that improves power efficiency and lets the chip run fast with less power.
The Exynos 9611 has a three-core CPU, eight-core GPU, and dual-channel LPDDR4X RAM memory. The chip also has a 4G LTE Cat.20 modem and will support Cat.21 to get gigabit speeds. On the flip side, the Snapdragon 855 comes with an ARM-based Spectra 380 image signal processor, Adreno 640 GPU, Hexagon 680 DSP, and Kryo 485 CPU.
Compared to the previous generation of chipsets, the Snapdragon 845 and the 845 Deluxe, the Snapdragon 855 processor has more efficient hardware with a 15 percent jump in GPU, 30 percent increase in LPDDR4X memory, and 10 percent jump in CPU clock frequency, compared to the Snapdragon 845.
According to Huawei, the Snapdragon 855 brings in immersive and immersive AR experiences with Adreno 680 graphics. Also, it is built for AI capabilities with dedicated cores to handle natural language processing (NPU), speech, noise cancellation, and computer vision, among others.
